Caring for Marble Furniture

Our marble tops are sealed before shipping, however, they are porous by nature and can be stained, scratched, or chipped. To protect the surface, it is recommended to:

• Keep acidic substances such as wine, coffee, fruit juice, or tomato sauce away from the surface.
• Clean up spills immediately by blotting them and rinsing the area with a clean, damp cloth.
• Use coasters or trivets under glasses and dishes to prevent ring marks, and use mats or runners under hard objects that might scratch the surface.
• Avoid placing hot items directly on the tabletop.
• Avoid using chemical cleansers, dusting sprays, abrasive cleaners, or furniture polish.
• Dust frequently with a soft, dry cloth.
• Clean periodically with a cloth dampened with warm water and mild dishwashing liquid if necessary and use a second damp cloth to remove the soap.

For marble, it is recommended to use a resealer once a year or as needed.
